A little something for Samuel...
Since so many have inquired, I suppose I should explain myself on the Bettie Page image. Samuel said in an interview that he never had a great desire for cinema actresses, that he much preferred pinups such as Bettie Page. I am a great fan of her work. For those of you who are not familiar with her - ask your father, he will know..
Since the 1950's, Bettie has been an icon of American sexuality - and innocence. She always came across as the girl-next-door. She was simple and exotic at the sametime and that fueled her popularity. I first saw her picture when I was a child and spent many hours wishing I could trade my Irish looks for her beautiful eyes and jet black hair.
