Samuel was the 1999 recipient of the Jean Gabin award. I read in a couple of snippets that Gabin's family and the curators of his museum were very taken with Samuel because of his strong resemblance to the famous actor. Samuel looks dead on like him in the photo they have at the museum site (link below). Gabin was also a well-loved recording artist. So, one has to ask, can Samuel sing?
